Council Approved Supervisor
EMDR Consultant In Training (CIT)

I am passionate about helping adults who struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief/loss work through these experiences, learn to understand them and address their symptoms and difficulties in healthier ways.

I consider it an absolute privilege to be a part of your healing process. My intention is to offer warmth, and empathy so that you may share your feelings, thoughts, and experiences. My approach to therapy is both collaborative and integrative. Not everyone heals the same way, for that reason I work together with my clients to make decisions about how best to proceed with treatment depending on your particular situation. I utilize different modalities and approaches when working with clients these include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment theory, parts work, interpersonal neurobiology and expressive arts such as sandtray.

I am a graduate of the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW). For ten years I have worked in nonprofit settings including children’s assessment centers, domestic violence and rape crisis centers and healthcare centers as a social worker, psychotherapist and leader of behavioral health programs. I am also trained in and have experience conducting forensic mental health evaluations for immigration relief cases. I am a bilingual in English and Spanish and I enjoy providing therapy services in both languages

Outside the therapy space I appreciate a good DIY project, catching a movie and playing with my two young children. I am happily married and the proud owner of a small pomeranian named Oreo.
